Disection

Lamb Heart Disection

The lungs and the heart are attached together this is because the heart needs to pump blood to the lungs to gather oxygen so that the arteries can pump the oxygenated blood around the body. I was able to identify the Trachea and Oesophagus. The Oesophagus was very slimy, this is because the food needs to be able to travel down it into the stomach, the Oesophagus was cut off but the Trachea was still in tact. The Trachea was a bit firmer than the Oesopahgus, it also went right down the heart and ended near the bottom.
The lungs had white firm pieces through it which were the Bronchi, I was unable to find the Bronchioles though. The heart itself had purple lines through it which I discovered were veins and arteries.
The muscle on the left side was a lot bigger and stronger than the muscle on the right side because the left pump has to pump blood to the whole body whereas the right pump only needs to pump to the lungs.

Enders Game

Enders Game Cultures

My relation to people from other countries is that I go to a multicultural school. One of my best friends is Romanian. We have many Filipino students who I get on with well and we also have a strong Pasifika background. New Zealand has vast cultures so I deal with different cultured people everyday.Through this I know about the Philippines and have learnt some Tagalog from Filipinos. I have also learnt about Romanian culture, food and language.I have learnt this by talking top these people and asking questions. The advantages of being in a community that is multi culture is that you learn about the world and see what it is like from another countries aspect. Disadvantages of this is that people will talk in their language and you can't understand them. It takes some people longer to learn if they don't know language. Challenges of interacting with different culture people is that they can sometimes misunderstand or misinterpret what you are saying. I approach them as I would as any other person. I ask about their language and their country to make a starting point in the relationship. My overall experience with people from other countries is that I have found that people from east Asia are very nice and well mannered people. I enjoy learning about cultures of other countries in the world as I will probably not be able to travel when I am older.
