The lungs and the heart are attached together this is because the heart needs to pump blood to the lungs to gather oxygen so that the arteries can pump the oxygenated blood around the body. I was able to identify the Trachea and Oesophagus. The Oesophagus was very slimy, this is because the food needs to be able to travel down it into the stomach, the Oesophagus was cut off but the Trachea was still in tact. The Trachea was a bit firmer than the Oesopahgus, it also went right down the heart and ended near the bottom.
The lungs had white firm pieces through it which were the Bronchi, I was unable to find the Bronchioles though. The heart itself had purple lines through it which I discovered were veins and arteries.
The muscle on the left side was a lot bigger and stronger than the muscle on the right side because the left pump has to pump blood to the whole body whereas the right pump only needs to pump to the lungs.

How does the heart work
